The Rose Ministry is designed to encourage and support women as they fill their various roles; to reach out to the community, to minister to those in church and offer opportunities for spiritual and relational growth.

We believe that all women are important in God’s eyes and are vital in His Kingdom. We believe in unity within diversity and cooperation and caring through the inspiration and power of the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of the Rose Ministry is to glorify God by challenging women: to know God personally, to grow in Christ’s likeness, to discover and use spiritual gifts and to love and serve others.

And in all things, we reflect the beauty of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10

Our purpose is to help all men of our church to grow in Christ, by becoming a Christ like disciple that can lead and encourage others to follow the same steps in their spiritual journey of faith, through prayer and sharing the Scripture.

To help men to find a ministry where they can also be engaged in and in this way help them to become a participant of what God in doing in his church.
Men can be better servants when they come together and grow together “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. ” Prov. 27:17, NIV”

Activities
Every 3rd Saturday there is a time for fellowship and sharing of the Scripture.

We are Esther is a ministry created and inspired by the life and work of queen Esther, who moved the king’s heart with her dedication to God’s people, through fasting and prayer.

Our main ministry is to fast, pray, visit, and bring comfort to Christians in our congregation and extend it to the entire community of New Bedford.

“Then she prayed to the Lord, the God of Israel, saying: “My Lord, you alone are our King. Help me, who am alone and have no help but you,
for I am taking my life in my hand.” Esther 4:14-15

Worship is more than music or something we do on Sundays. Worship should be our lifestyle, bringing glory to God in all we do. As people gaze on Him through worship, they will be changed from the inside out.

Vision Beliefs:

We believe God wishes us to be a community of free expression in worship, fully allowing all members of our community to worship God. We believe that God desires us to be bold and expressive in thanks, humble and intimate in worship and filled with joy in His presence. We see a vision of God being present in worship and us being present to Him in adoration. We see a vision of worship focused on the importance of singing to God, not only about him.

Sample Goals: 

• Spirit led song selection and worship leading.

• Openness to Spirit-led congregational participation during the service.

• Good musical skill in the leader and band

• Song selection that, while based in Scriptural principles, fits the age, culture and languages of the community

• Importance of first person language to God in songs (lyrics) and prayers.
